Also Rad schieben statt fahren. #TCRNo12 #TranscontinentalRace #UltraCycling #Bikepacking #SelfSupported English Version After the ferry from Nynäshamn to Gdansk, it was time to get back on track. The crossing did me a lot of good: sleep, laundry, repacking the bags, and optimising a few small things in the setup. After the first days in the race, it almost felt like a small reset. Shortly before noon, I was back on the mainland and practically straight back on the bike. The transition could hardly have gone better. At the same time, it was clear: when the race day only really starts again around midday, there is simply less time left for kilometres than on a normal early start. Gdansk itself slowed things down again: a city festival, crowds of people, and my track right through the middle of it. So it was pushing the bike instead of riding. That costs time, but it is part of it. Roads are not closed for us; we are the ones who have to be considerate. Getting out of the city became a little more demanding again because of construction sites, Banned Roads, and crossings. I would rather be too cautious once than wrong once. One place that would previously have been critical could be crossed cleanly because the new crossing is now finished. That was a moment where the route planning paid off. Poland has been pleasant so far: lots of forest, quiet roads, changing asphalt, and an overall good feeling. But the wind really took its toll today. Content-wise everything went well, the rhythm is back, but by the end of the day I was still pretty tired. Wind simply eats energy, even when everything else fits. Now it continues through Poland. Controlled, not at the limit, step by step towards Jasná. #TCRNo12 #TranscontinentalRace #UltraCycling #Bikepacking #SelfSupported
